"HOT" YOGA
"Hot" yoga or bikram yoga is considered the physical therapy arm of yoga. The study of this form of yoga which is rooted in Hatha Yoga is conducted in a heated room to increase the flexibility and movement of the muscles, tendons and ligaments therefore allowing increased blood flow through the system and releases toxins from the body. In a room of approximately 105° degrees F, students of Bikram Yoga work through 26 poses over the course of 90 minutes. These movements are meant to relieve stress, increase the blood circulation to all parts of the body, assist in weight loss and tone and develop muscles.
